Chocolate Fruit
20 pieces
Dried fruit pieces. Such as peaches, apricots, dates, apples
Fresh fruit slices. Such as pineapple, apples, bananas, oranges
Whole fruit : Strawberries or cherries
Chocolate Sauce:
1 package semi-sweet chocolate or chocolate chips
1 tsp vegetable shortening
In a sauce pan, melt the chocolate over low heat with the shortening
Stir often
Remove from heat
Using tongs, dip fruit halfway into melted chocolate
Place dipped fruit on waxed paper.
Chill fruit.
Once set, serve
If chocolate thickens before you can use it to dip, just reheat until melted
