Bigger Than You

I used to think you were so cool
Back when I knew you in high school
But you are no longer the person I knew
Why you turned, I don't know

Heart so cold, cold as ice
Soul so dark, dark as night

I used to believe the words you spoke
The elegant phrases you used to quote
Now you spin lies with what you've said
People in your way, caught in your web

Clawing your way to the top
Hit the breaks, time to stop
Think of what you are heading to
Before you crash into
Something that is bigger than you
