Donna's Favorite Recipes



Lamb Burgers
Serves 4

1 pound lean ground lamb
2 Tbsp grated onion
2 Tbsp chopped parsely
1 tsp grated lemon zest
Salt and pepper to taste
1 ripe Hass avacado, peeled and pitted
2 tsp lemon juice
2 Tbsp plain nonfat yogurt
4 whole grain rolls
4 tomato slices
1/2 cup alfalfa sprouts

Prepare coals for grilling
Combine the lamb, onion, parsley, lemon zest, salt and pepper
Form 4 patties

In a bowl, mash tha avacado with the lemon juice and yogurt. Season with salt and pepper
Set aside

Grill the burgers for about 4 minutes on each side or until done

Serve immediately on rolls, topped with avadado mixture, a tomato slice and alfalfa sprouts
