Cranberry Ham
Makes one 5 pound ham

5 lbs ham, butt end with bone
1 and 1/2 cups dry red wine
1 and 1/2 cups water
1 canwhole cranberry sauce
1/4 tsp powdered cloves
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 cup brandy
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 tsp powdered ginger
Place ham in a large pot. Add the wine and the water. The liquid should cover the ham
halfway. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer. Cover.
Simmer for one hour, turning ham several times
Remove ham. Trim fat from ham. Make some deep scores in ham. Place in roastng pan
Place cranberry sauce in a blender and process. There should be some bits of cranberry
Combine 1/2 cup of the sauce with cloves, pepper, brandy, brown sugar and ginger.
Cover ham with half of glaze
Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Baste with remaining glaze. Remove from oven
Slice into thin slices. Serve.
