Donna's Favorite Recipes



Bulgar Pilaf
Serve 4

1 large onion, chopped
2 Tbsp unsalted butter
1 cup pulgar
1 tsp grated orange rind
1/4 cup raisins
1 and 3/4 cups vegetable broth
1/4 cup pine nuts
1/4 cup parsely, chopped
1/4 cup green onions, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste

In a large saucepan saute onion in button until transparent
Add bulgar and ornage rind
Cook at stir for one minute
Add raisins and vegetable broth
Bring to a boil, cover and cook on low heat for 10 minutes or until liquid is absorbed
Add salt and pepper to taste
Fluff with a fork and cool for 15 minutes
Add pine nuts, parsely and green onions
Fluff with a fork, and serve
