1/3 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 cup applesauce
1 and 1/2 cups Cake Flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp nutmeg
Dash salt
1/2 cup raisins
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
Apple glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar, 2 Tbsp apple juice
Cake:
Cream butter and sugar until smooth. Add egg and beat well. Stir in applesauce
Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices and salt.
Add to butter mixture
Stir in and beat until well blended
Add raisens and nuts. Stir
Grease and lightly flour a bundt cake pan
Pour the batter into the prepared pan
Bake at 375 about 45 minutes until cake is done
Let cake sit for about 5 minutes. Then turn over pan
onto serving platter
Pour the glaze over the cake while the cake is slill warm. Glaze should pour down
side of cake
Make Apple Glaze:
Mix 1 cup powdered sugar with 2 tablespoons apple juice. Blend until smooth
