Seven Men

Once I saw Seven Men
The first had learned the power of giving
he was well liked but poor and hungry
The second had learned the power of taking
he was rich but had no friends
The third had learned the power of teaching
he was considered educated but couldn't manage love
The fourth had learned the power of loving
he fell in love, only to have his heart broken
The fifth learned the power of no feeling
he survived but missed everything around him
The sixth had learned the power of religion
he worshiped but lost touch with reality
But the seventh man
he had learned the power of change
the strength to change his ideas
to admit when he was wrong
and accept it
He got the best of everything
that the others never received
Sometimes the best was worse
Sometimes others would laugh
and call him wishy washy
and say he had no spine
he had no power
But he did
he had the power to change
