Don't Let Them Scare You

We saw their platinum sign
saying they wanted to connect with others
We thought back to their archaic days
When they thought we were gods
we were their brothers
"But, of course, they have improved"
it had been said
"They are traveling in space
what have we to dread?
We can go to that place
that place called Earth"

I arrived here
in their atmosphere
They started coming then
If my planet can hear my voice
Tell everyone there
I love them

We never should have tried
to reach this planet
No one follow in my footsteps
And if we never come back
thats to bad
for them

To all the other planets
especially my home
Earth is not worth
the taking of innocent life
I wish I could turn back

The planes are getting nearer
What did we do to them?
Well, we are still
better than them
We don't kill an innocent being
just because
of the planet they come from

My ship is surrounded
I think of my home far away
I want to go back
But the attack is under way

I think of all the things
we could have taught them
(They still have war and disease)
I'm trying to communicate -
Don't kill us please

Brains of animals, stubborn Earth's people
We saw your signs
though you were ready
But everything we do
you misunderstand

There is no hope
I must warn everyone
who can listen, who can care
We wanted to help
but it didn't work
We want to be friends
but it would never work
Take my advice
Don't come here anymore
Let them destroy themselves
Don't let them scare you
Earth's hypocrits
Don't let them scare you
Earth's idiots
Don't let them scare you
They're not worth it

They're Earth's people
as cold in the end
as they were at the start
We are spacemen
we are more
we have hearts
