If You'd Ask Me To

We'd live in a small house
with a white picket fence
I'd join the PTA
be a welcome-wagon lady
and join a bridge-club too
I'd make homemade bread
be there when you came home from work
and still keep the house clean too
I'd spend afternoons
watching soap operas and game shows
I'd read Good Housekeeping and
Movie Screen
I'd throw my dreams out the window
and burn my diary
If you'd ask me to
I'd do it all for you

Or we could live in a big gorgeous mansion
Tennis courts, Horse Stables and a Swimming pool
We'd have own TV Talk show
Win the Emmy
And make personal appearances
But I'd still watch over you
We's spend evenings at celebrity parties
Travel to the corners of the world
We could be
the most famous couple in the world
If you's ask me to
I'd do it all for you
