Happy Saint Patricks Day
! Its so wonderful to know that Spring is just around the corner. In honor of the occasion, I spent some time updating My Holiday Pages. Yes, I added a St. Patricks Day Page. Well, since I am one-fourth Irish, I just could not resist ! There are so many interesting books out there - biographies of St. Patrick (he was a real person who became a Catholic Saint), Irish history and even Irish Cooking ! I hope you take some time to check it out ! I am planning an Easter page real soon too.

I'm so happy you are here!

I have also started to add Movie Pages. These were more of a challange than I expected, and are still "in progess" and are taking me some time. But the Lord of the Rings Page is finished. So, if you loved LOTR as much as I did, stop on by.

And if you hadn't noticed, I redesigned the front page alittle. Its been nearly four years with the same look, and I really wanted something alittle different. As well as more columns to make everything easier to find. I hope you like the new design.

75th Academy Awards As usual, you know I am staying busy. I have seen almost every movie up for the Oscars this year. My favorite so far is Chicago. I was so disappointed that Richard Gere was not nominated. He deserved it just as much as Rene Zellwegger, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Queen Latifah , John C. Reilly and Director Rob Marshall. What a faboulous cast ! I have been listening to the Chicago Soundtrack at my office. The soundtrack has a great version of "Cell Block Tango/He Had It Coming" featuring Queen Latifah , Macy Gray and Lil Kim . Its my current most favorite CD.

But.... I have another favorite movie. And that is "The Guru" starring Jimi Mistry , Heather Graham and Marisa Tomei . It was funny, and uplifting - and the music is also great ! The clips of John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John in Grease, sure do bring back memories. Yes, I got the The Guru Soundtrack as well !

Then, like everyone else, on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, I am glued to the television watching American Idol . I don't know what they were thinking when they let Frenchie go - she is more talented than all of them. I certainly hope she records a CD soon. I do have my favorites of the 12. I am so glad that Clay came back as a wild card.

I have been keeping busy in Los Angeles . Volunteering at the American Cinematheque and seeing lots of great film there. And I have been getting involved with Group 101 films. This is a cool organization of film makers. And it provides them the opportunity to actually have their film seen by the public. I just got to film a role as a school teacher in a short film called "Out of Time" for Group 101.

Other things ? I saw Missing Persons in concert. It was so fun ! Just like being back in the '80s ! Sure brought back those memories. They were so good and energetic. The crowd loved them.

One of the other Cinematheque volunteers has a website called FilmRadar.com . She has a fantastic mailing list available that lists all the great classic films playing in the Los Angeles area. If you want to stay up to date on classic movies in Los Angeles, check it out. I recently attended the one year anniversary party for the website.

My thoughts and prayers are with you as our country goes through this trying time dealing with war. I hope you and yours are safe and happy.

As with St. Patricks Day just around the corner...
I want to wish you the luck of the Irish.
