I want to welcome you to my website ! I am really excited this month, because I placed some
advertisements so people can find my music out here on the Internet. If you are one of those people, I am so glad you stopped
by and I hope you spend some time looking around my site - and clicking on over to my MP3 pages.
Its hard to believe this website has been up and running for about a year and a half. The CD has
been completed for the last 6 months. But since it is just me, doing this on the internet without
the help of any producers, distributors, or even a record label - it sure has been slow going.
The fact that I moved to Hollywood and changed jobs sure did help to eat up the spare time usually
devoted to my music.
But now that I am finally settled in a nice apartment in Hollywood - I am going to spend lots of time on the CD. Taking it to record stores, submitting it to radio stations. This is something I have to do on my own, since there is no big record label behind me. Indie music is a very difficult thing, but it is so wonderful that the Internet allows indie singers/songwriters/musicians to get their music out to the world.
Just these last few months I have been thrilled to hear from people who have bought my CD over Amazon, CD Baby - or just mailed me a check. Other locals in California - and people on the east coast - and even from far away as Milan, Italy. It is so exciting to know people all over the world have access to my music. Just the other day, I had a wonderful email from someone in Ireland who downloaded my MP3s. That is really what this is all about.
I hope you visit my site often. Now that my DSL is running fairly normally, I am going to start doing even more with the website. And I will be posting regular updates of new "mortar & brick" stores (those you just drive to) that will be carrying my CD. Little by little, there will be more of those, but for now the best place to get the CD is online.
