Hello, and welcome to my website. I have been alittle remiss in updating my homepage newsletter. But I always continuously add to my website. So there is always something new going on somewhere in these pages.
First I have added My Poetry Pages to the website. This is an archive of all the poetry I have written since I was a kid. At this writing, I have almost finished with the poetry I wrote during high school, and am starting on poetry from the 1980s and current. So I invite you to grab a cup of fresh coffee , or maybe a glass of your favorite wine, sit back and spend some time reading my poetry.

With Halloween and Thanksgiving right around the corner, please stop by my Holiday Pages There are plenty of recipes for your holiday meals, as well as great gift ideas and more.

I have also been trying to keep Donna's Cool Movies up to date. I have started to add Movie Reviews of the current movies playing.

Speaking of Movies.... what are my favorites so far from this summer ? Pirates of the Caribbean is my number one pick, and I just love Johnny Depp. He is great in that movie. And I also liked League of Extraordinary Gentleman. I don't know why it got such bad reviews, I thought it was very entertaining.

I am going to head out this weekend and see Seabiscuit. Two of my favorite actors are in it Chris Cooper and William H. Macy.

And .... I have been to a few concerts. I guess I have been living in the 80's again. I saw The Bangles at House of Blues in West Hollywood. The Bangles have a new CD Doll Revolution, due out Sept. 2003 . Then I saw Cyndi Lauper at Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles. Cyndi Lauper has a new CD out called "Shine" , and I really love the title song

If this wasn't enough to keep me busy, I have signed up with some Extra Casting Agencies, and some Professional Audience Member Agencies. I am just getting started but I think it will be a great opportunity.
So far, I have done two audience things, one for a SoapNet ABC Soap Opera special, and another for the new NBC show "Happy Family" starring John Larroquette and Christine Baranski. Those are two very funny TV actors, and I thought the show was hysterical ! I completely enjoyed the tv taping.

If you ever come to the Los Angeles/Hollywood area, I highly recommend that you call up the TV studios and watch a TV sitcom being filmed.

What else has been going on ? Yes, there is more ! The Annual Mods and Rockers Festival was at Egyptain Theatre in Hollywood again this year. And yes, I did volunteer. It is always such fun and I enjoy watching the 1960s movies. This year they had an afternoon concert with an all-star band at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood, which was a blast ! And they showed the original Batman movie with Adam West. That was a hoot ! Also, at the Egyptain Theatre, they had a screening of the original King Kong . I had only seen it on TV before, so seeing it on the big screen was a real treat.

With all this, I have managed to keep up on my reading. I read Hollywood Babylon, which is a very interesting book all about the juicy gossip starting way, way back with the silent movies. Then, I read The Lovely Bones. A very sad story about a young girls murder. I could not put it down, now I know why its been on the best seller list. After that, I need a comedy, so I picked up
Nanny Diaries and I am currently reading that.

Well, I am glad you stopped by my website. I hope you get a chance to surf around, listen to my music, read my poetry, or check out the movie reviews. I have plans to add even more to this website, when ever I get a chance !

Take care and God Bless !

Donna
